Howard Feldman, MD, FACC, FSCAI Medical Director Dr Feldman is the founder of the Interventional Cardiology Program at Shaw Heart and several other centers. He has the rare distinction of being board certified in four disciplines – Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine. A graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in Bronx, N.Y., Dr. Feldman completed his internship and residency at UCLA. In addition he served a cardiology fellowship at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Feldman moved to Roseburg in 2007, relocating from Great Falls, Mont., where he directed the Heartland Cardiac and Vascular Center.
















Stephen T Bernard, MD, FACC Dr. Bernard is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. A graduate of Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine, Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Bernard completed his internship and residency at Western Reserve Care System – Youngstown, Ohio Prior to moving to Roseburg, Dr. Bernard had a cardiology practice in Bismarck, North Dakota. He is a member of the Shaw Heart and Vascular Specialists and provides general cardiology, pacemaker implantation, and interventional cardiology services. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, hiking, water sports, biking and classic car restoration, especially Mustangs.
Gary Bronstein, MD, FACC Dr. Bronstein is a graduate of the School of Medicine, State University of New York, and completed his residency at University of Michigan Hospitals and a fellowship at St. Vincent’s hospital in Staten Island, N.Y. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Bronstein relocated from The Woodlands, Texas, where he was in a private cardiology practice.
Cihan Cevik, MD, FACC, FESC Dr. Cevik is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. A graduate of Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey, he completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, TX and his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston, TX. Dr. Cevik moved to Roseburg in 2014 and started working as an interventional cardiologist with the Shaw Heart and Vascular Specialists. His area of interest are coronary, peripheral and structural heart disease. Along with general and interventional cardiology, Dr. Cevik also performs Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, or TAVR, offsite, and provides post procedure care locally once patients are back home. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement is a new technology for use in treating aortic stenosis. A bioprosthetic valve is inserted percutaneously using a catheter and implanted into the native aortic valve.
Erin Rice, RNFP Erin graduated from the University of Southern Colorado, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000. She started her nursing career at Parkview Medical Center in the emergency department and then moved into the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Colorado- Colorado Springs and worked in emergency medicine and family practice, while completing her training for cardiology. Erin is currently the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with the Shaw Heart and Vascular Specialists.
Ajay Tripuraneni, MD, FACC, FHRS Dr. Tripuraneni is board certified in Cardiovascular Disase, Echocardiography, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Nuclear Cardiology. A graduate of Siddhartha Medical College, he completed his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, PA. Dr. Tripuraneni is also a representative member in the Oregon Chapter of Amercian College of Cardiology. In 2003, he moved to Roseburg and started working as a hospitalist at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg. In 2008, Dr. Tripuraneni went back to medical school to pursue a cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University. He returned to Roseburg in 2012 and joined Shaw Heart and Vascular Specialists as a cardiologist with a specialty in electrophysiology. Cardiac electrophysiology is the study of the heart’s electrical system which generates the heart beat.
Fred Van Dis, MD, FACC Dr. Van Dis has been a member of the Shaw Heart Center cardiology team since 2002. He moved to Roseburg from Sioux Falls, S.D., where he practiced in affiliation with Sioux Valley Hospital. The Michigan native graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his internship and residency at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Van Dis also served a fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
